The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) is the backbone of digital governance in Pakistan. As a global leader in biometric identification and secure data management, NADRA is responsible for protecting the sensitive data of over 240 million citizens. In an era where cyber warfare and data breaches are constant threats, our Information Security department serves as the digital shield of the nation.
Joining NADRA is not just about a paycheck; it is about national service. We operate one of the largest and most complex data ecosystems in the world, which requires a Security Operations Center (SOC) that is proactive, resilient, and technologically advanced. We are looking for a Information Security Analyst who is ready to take on the responsibility of defending this critical national infrastructure.
We are seeking a qualified, experienced, and dedicated candidate for the position of Information Security Analyst, specifically focusing on Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM).
The successful candidate will be a hands-on practitioner capable of monitoring, detecting, and neutralizing threats in real-time. This role is highly technical and requires a deep understanding of how malware behaves, how attackers move through a network, and how to use automation to stop them. You will work within our cybersecurity division in Islamabad, ensuring that every endpoint—from a server in our primary data center to a laptop at a remote registration center—is fully secured and monitored.

To ensure the integrity of our security team, we have set high standards for academic and professional background:
Academic Background: You must hold a 4-year Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or Information Security. Your degree must be recognized and attested by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
Professional Experience: We require 1-2 years of post-qualification experience in the Information Security field within a reputable organization. We are looking for “hands-on” experience rather than just theoretical knowledge.
Technical Stack: You must have proven expertise in deploying and managing Elastic SIEM or reputable EDR platforms. Candidates with Elastic SIEM Engineering certifications or CompTIA CySA+ and CEH will be given a distinct preference.
Coding & Scripting: Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, or Bash is necessary. Modern security is about automation, and you should be able to write scripts to integrate detection workflows.
Your daily technical tasks will revolve around advanced threat detection and incident response:
EDR Policy Management: Ability to implement strict security policies and controls across thousands of endpoints while ensuring system performance is not degraded.
Threat Hunting: Proactively searching for Indicators of Compromise (IoC) using KQL (Kibana Query Language) and EQL (Event Query Language).
Alert Tuning: Working on Elastic SIEM to optimize log pipelines, create custom dashboards, and tune alerts to reduce false positives.
Incident Containment: Taking immediate action to isolate infected hosts and conduct root-cause analysis to prevent future breaches.

Please read these terms carefully, as they are part of the official NADRA recruitment policy:
Contractual Term: The selected candidate will be hired for an initial 5-year contract, which is extendable based on performance and organizational needs.
NOC Requirement: If you are currently a Government or Semi-Government employee, you must provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of your application.
Fitness & Character: Medical fitness and character certificates are mandatory for final selection.
Electronic Gadgets: Please note that mobile phones and smartwatches are strictly prohibited during the test and interview stages.
Last Date to Apply: The deadline for online submissions is November 23, 2025.
